For those who do not know, the teacher of George Pelekis (representative of Shito ryu Karate do - Shitokai in Greece), Greek-Australian Shihan Con Kassis (8th Dan), was recently appointed Chairman of the Technical Committee of the World Karate Federation W.K.F.

This is a huge achievement in the world of Karate since he is the first non-Japanese to hold this position ever since the founding of the World Federation. But, this is not his only international role.

He is also a member of the Rules Committee, responsible for upgrading and improving the regulations in Sport Karate. Therefore, he will be working in Karate World Federation to lead Karate for the first time in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo !!!
