Technical Seminar with the President of World Shito-ryu Karate-do Federation, Genzo Iwata – June 2024

 

A technical seminar and Dan promotional examinations were held in Athens on 19 & 20 June 2024 conducted by the President of World Shito-ryu Karate-do Federation, Genzo Iwata.
The event was hosted at the facilities of “Yoshukan” branch in Greece.

Specifically, on Wednesday June 19, the seminar took place, which was divided into morning and afternoon sessions depending on the age and technical level of the participants. On Thursday, June 20, in the morning, examinations for Dan, Jokyo and Jun-Shihan degrees were held, while in the afternoon of the same day, the seminar was completed.

The organizers of the above event were the two representatives of World Shito-ryu Karate-do Federation (Shitokai) in Greece, George Pelekis and DimitriosZefkis, while Gidon Schwabe, the representative of Israel, was also invited.

Seminar and examinations were a great success and everyone was delighted with Sensei Iwata’s technical knowledge, contagiousness and simplicity, while he expressed his contentment with the technical level of the participants in the art of Shitoryu Karate.
