Iaido Seminar with Sensei Patrik Demuynck in France – May 2025
On May 17 & 18, 2025, a two-day Iaido (Japanese Fencing) seminar was held in the city of Nantes, France, which included teachings on the traditional Tamiya school and the ZNKR Iai.
The seminar was conducted by Sensei Patrick Demuynck, (7th Dan Kyoshi), representative of Tamiya-ryu style in Europe.
Members of Tamiya family from various parts of Europe also participated.
From Greece, the seminar was attended by the representative of Tamiya-ryu in our country, George Pelekis (5th Dan Iaido), accompanied by two of his students in the Iaido class of the Dojo.
The participants Antonis Anestopoulos and Panagiotis Gatis, in addition to the knowledge they gained from Sensei Demuynck’s excellent teaching style, his knowledge transferability, also enjoyed their stay in the country as they were given the opportunity to make a tour both in the city of Nantes, which hosted the seminar, as well as in the City of Light, Paris.
