Technical Seminar with the Head of Shito-ryu, Soke Kenyu Mabuni in Africa – September 2022

At the beginning of September 2022, the Technical Director of the club George Pelekis traveled to the Ivory Coast of Africa, specifically to the city of Abidjan, to participate in the International Shito-ryu Karate seminar organized by Shitokai Africa and conducted by the Soke of the system Kenyu Mabuni.

Once again, George Pelekis assisted Soke Mabuni during teaching, which is a great honor, while he received impeccable hospitality from the representative of Shitokai Africa, the President and the organizers of the event.

The program included morning and afternoon sessions, while on Sunday a Karate Cup was held.
It was quite a successful event with a large number of participants both in the training sessions and in the Championship.

After the event, Soke Kenyu Mabuni conducted a personal examination to his representative in Greece as well as of the World Shito-ryu Karate-do Federation, George Pelekis. Part of the exams were held in front of an audience, which he successfully completed, resulting in his promotion to 7th Dan, while Master Mabuni, head of Shito-ryu Karate-do worldwide, awarded him a personal certificate from the historic “Yoshukan” dojo.
