‘Mabuni’s Shito ryu Karate do” seminar in Athens – June 2007

Two weeks course of seminars in Shito ryu Karate do, has been realized in the athletic association named “The way of the Warrior” on June 2007.

Two weeks course of seminars in Shito ryu Karate do, has been realized in the athletic association named “The way of the Warrior” on June 2007. The above course, has been conducted by Greek-Australian Sensei Con Kassis, who for the third time comes to Greece in order to conduct lessons in the dojo that basic instructor is George Pelekis. In this particular course of lessons he emphasized in the meaning of Katas like Aoyagi, Shinpa and other, created by the founder of Shito ryu system, Kenwa Mabuni. He mainly insisted on explanations concerning the above katas, as well as joint-locking techniques.

His impression concerning the level of Sensei George Pelekis students, has been quite positive and Sensei Con Kassis has been overwhelmed by their zeal for learning.

Sensei Con Kassis will be visiting our country two or three times each year, since he has personally undertaken the training and progress of George Pelekis, since his dojo belongs to the family fo Mabuni’s Shito ryu Karate do.
