Seminar and Colour, Black Belts & Dan examination in Crete island – June 2025
Karate Technical Seminar and Colour, Black Belts & Dan examinations were held with great success on June 20, 21 & 22, 2025 in Heraklion and Arkalohori, Crete.
The event was organized by the Athletic Association “Filonikos” with instructor Alexandros Zaimakis (5th Dan) and hosted the representative of World Shito-ryu Karate-do Federation (WSKF) in Greece, George Pelekis (7th Dan Renshi), who conducted the seminar and the above examinations as an examiner.
Specifically, on Friday, June 20th, in the morning, a Shito-ryu technical seminar took place in Arkalohori, conducted by Shihan George Pelekis, in groups consisting of beginners and advanced students, and in the afternoon in the city of Heraklion respectively.
The participants were enthusiastic about the knowledge and transferability of Sensei Pelekis, while he, from his side, was grateful for their warm hospitality.
On Saturday, June 21st, Colour Belts grading test were held, and on Sunday, for Black Belt and Dan WSKF levels respectively, which were completed with great success, with the participants, after a long examination, being promoted to the next level, rewarding their dedication and effort.

Also being examined was the instructor of the Dojo, Sensei Alexandros Zaimakis, who in the presence of students and parents demonstrated his technical training in Shito-ryu and was awarded the title ″Jokyo″ (Instructor Diploma) by World Federation.
