Technical seminar & Colour belts examination in Crete island – December 2025

Karate technical seminar and colour belts examinations were held with great success in Heraklion and Arkalochori, Crete by the Athletic Association “Filonikos”, on December 17, 18 & 19, 2025.

The seminar was organized by Sensei Alexandros Zaimakis (5th Dan Jokyo), representative of Shitokai Greece in Heraklion, Crete, who once again hosted as a guest teacher, George Pelekis, Technical Director of our club and representative in Greece of World Shito-ryu Karate-do Federation.

During the three days of training, participants had the opportunity to delve deeper into the techniques of the style, improve posture, accuracy and understanding of basic and advanced applications, through detailed teaching and practical practice, offering valuable knowledge to students of all levels.

As part of the seminar, promotional colour belts examinations were also held, in which the examinees presented their progress and technical training.
The effort, discipline and competitive spirit of the athletes were rewarded and many congratulations are due to both the students and Sensei Alexis Zaimakis who managed to raise their technical level even further.

Special mention deserves the warm hospitality, which – as always – was impeccable, contributing to a pleasant and productive atmosphere.
