Technical Seminar with the President of World Shito-ryu Karate-do Federation, Genzo Iwata – March 2025

Another successful seminar under the guidance of Hanshi Genzo Iwata (8th Dan), President of World Shito-ryu Karate-do Federation (Shitokai), was held on March 28, 29 & 30, 2025 in Athens.

The event was hosted at the facilities of “Yoshukan” Dojo in Athens, as well as at an indoor stadium in the municipality of Drapetsona.

Specifically, on Friday, March 28, Master Iwata conducted an afternoon training session in young students of the Dojo who were thrilled with his contagiousness and simplicity.
On Saturday, March 29, morning and afternoon, the seminar was attended by Black belts and Instructors from both groups, while on Sunday, March 30, in the morning, an open seminar took place in the indoor stadium.

The event closed on the same day in the afternoon with the promotional examinations for Dan level in which the female athlete of “Yoshukan” Dojo, Panagiota Kaltaki also participated, where she achieved the 3rd Dan certification from World Shito-ryu Federation.

The organizers of the event this time were the two representatives of World Shito-ryu Federation (Shitokai) in Greece, George Pelekis and Dimitris Zefkis.

It is worth noting that the seminar was once again honored with the presence of the representative of Israel Gidon Schwabe, as well as representatives of World Shito-ryu Federation from Russia and Serbia, along with their students.
